We are overusing our planets resources. The only successful societies in the 21st century will be the ones which that are very low in environmental impact. Achieving this requires a new sort of environmental protection agency – one that drives ways to prosper within our environmental capacity.

Doing this demands expert science and a real understanding of how society must adapt in our changing environment. Ecology is the backbone of our understanding, producing information and evidence that people use to make decisions is our focus.

An exciting opportunity has arisen - SEPA is looking to recruit a Head of Ecology. This post will help shape SEPA’s future and lead its ecological functions.

The right candidate will be a dynamic, adaptable and outward looking leader with the ability to work in partnership across and beyond the organisation. They will be passionate about the environment and will provide leadership that motivates and develops people.
