• Overall responsibility for leading the design, and implementation of a new Risk Management Framework for SEPA so that we can understand and plan for the internal or external events that may prevent us from achieving our strategic priorities

• Provide strategic engagement and advice on risk management to equip SEPA to deliver our strategic priorities and be consistent with the requirements as set out in the Scottish Public Finance Manual (SPFM), and other leading practice

• Oversee the management of the requirements to establish and maintain our Internal Audit standards and processes

• Identification of domestic and global risks

• Proven technical experience and expertise in Governance, Risk & Audit

• Strong project management and change management skills with experience in influencing internal and external stakeholders

• Ability to analyse and communicate complex information, you will report to Executive Leadership Teams, Audit and Risk Committee, Board and Scottish Government

• Ability to motivate and lead an effective team to ensure support is provided to colleagues across the Agency

• Ability to navigate your way through complex legislation and regulatory requirements

• A passion for Stakeholder relations. You will engage at company and industry sector level with a natural flair for influencing, brokering and negotiating with third parties
